Silver (Ag) Summary Statistics

Whole coal silver content of West Virginia coals is very low with an average of 0.058 ppm (± 0.061 ppm), with a maximum value of 0.53 ppm in the Chilton coal (see cautionary note page). The histogram is highly skewed toward low values with a slight tail toward higher values. Silver does not correlate with ash yield (r = +0.3474) and only slightly with copper (r = +0.6308) and tin (r = +0.6193).
