Barium
shows no geographic trends with isolated high values in the northern and
southern coalfields representing individual samples of the Brush Creek,
Lower Kittanning, Williamson and Matewan coals high in barium (see
cautionary notes page). Most of these high Ba coal samples have
marine strata overlying the coals.
